Strong PAC - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

A PAC (Personal Access Code) or Passcode is the password you use to access your online and mobile banking.

Strong PAC is an enhanced password system that allows members to create stronger, more secure passwords for online banking.

Instead of using only numbers, members can create passwords using a combination of:

    • letters
    • numbers
    • special characters

This helps better protect your accounts and personal information.

We understand this may be confusing, but there's no need to worry. This is an expected prompt and indicates that the system is requiring you to create a new Strong PAC password.

The same message will also appear for new members who are signing in for the first time and need to replace their temporary password with a new one.

If you continue to see this message after updating your password, please reach out to the Contact Center for assistance.

Protecting our members’ financial information is one of our highest priorities.

Strong PAC is an added security enhancement designed to help strengthen online banking protection and provide greater peace of mind.

    Yes.

LDCU continuously monitors and protects member accounts using multiple layers of security.

Strong PAC is simply an additional enhancement that helps make online banking even more secure.

Strong PAC will be required beginning July 6.

Members will be prompted to update their PAC after implementation.

Once you have setup your new Strong PAC, you will be able to use our exciting new PAC Reset feature!

Go to the login screen, click the Forgot Password? link and follow the prompts to reset your PAC.

    Small Businesses and Delegates

If you're experiencing issues with consolidated accounts, you'll need to update the password for each individual account first.

Once all account passwords have been updated, sign back in to your main account. Then, under Business Services > Manage Consolidated Accounts, select Update PAC and enter the new password for each linked account.

After you've updated the passwords for all linked accounts, they should reappear on the main account page.

If so, the signer must first log in, reactivate the delegate's account, and issue a new temporary password before the delegate can access the account.

    Password Requirements

    Your Strong PAC must:

    • contain 12–30 characters
    • include at least:
      • one uppercase letter
      • one lowercase letter

Using unique passwords for online banking helps better protect your financial information if another website or service experiences a security breach.

For security reasons, it is recommended that members create a new and unique PAC rather than reusing previous passwords.
