About the Role

As an MSR I, you will provide courteous service to members, striving to increase member satisfaction by analyzing, assisting, and fulfilling all members' financial service needs, as well as making judgment decisions regarding the delivery of financial product and services to members. This position processes basic business and personal member transactions, promotes deposit products and services to meet member needs, and makes appropriate referrals to other departments.

We're looking for a curious and analytical Compliance Analyst to help strengthen our regulatory compliance program and support a culture of sound risk management across the organization.

Position Overview

As our Compliance Analyst, you'll support the Credit Union's enterprise compliance program with a primary focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF). You'll work closely with the VP, Finance and serve as the designated backup to our Chief Anti-Money Laundering Officer (CAMLO).

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting AML investigations and reviewing suspicious transactions and alerts.
  • Monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and established procedures.
  • Reviewing new membership and lending files to identify compliance exceptions and opportunities for improvement.
  • Performing compliance monitoring and testing activities to evaluate the effectiveness of AML and other regulatory controls.
  • Preparing regulatory filings and supporting compliance reporting to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Assisting with internal and external audits and coordinating follow-up activities.
  • Maintaining AML policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
  • Providing practical guidance to employees on regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and helping implement changes across the organization.
Qualifications

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in getting the details right.

You'll be successful in this role if you have:

  • Experience in banking, credit unions, accounting, finance, or another financial services environment.
  • One to two years of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) or regulatory compliance experience (preferred).
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. We value practical knowledge as much as formal credentials.
  • CAMS certification, or a willingness to obtain it, is considered a strong asset.
