Ladysmith & District Credit Union is growing their Mobile Services division to include a Mobile Mortgage Manager!

As a Mortgage Specialist at LDCU, you will provide membership and loan growth through originating mortgages outside the branch network. You will proactively provide potential, new, and existing members with needs-focused mortgage solutions and advice. You will work to develop relationships with third-party referral sources including relators, developers, builders, brokers, financial planners, lawyers, and other centres of influence. The successful candidate will work out of a home office as well as a branch office as required, but remain mobile to accommodate member’s preferences.

Qualifications Required

Knowledge/Experience

  • A highly-motivated individual, who is a self-starter with exceptional quality sales skills.
  • Knowledge of the features and benefits of Credit Union products and services, particularly home financing and personal lending products, relationship sales and management, and the broader real estate industry
  • Knowledge of the Credit Union system, policies, and procedures as they relate to Credit Union lending activities
  • Minimum of 5 years previous lending experience in the financial services industry, preferably in the Credit Union system

Education

Completion of a two year diploma program in Business Administration or similar, with an emphasis in accounting and finance, supplemented by the completion of CUIC lending-related courses leading to a CUIC designation or professional accreditation. A combination of education and experience may be accepted.
