About the Opportunity
LCU Insurance is looking for either an experienced Level I Insurance Agent or a Trainee who is passionate about customer service and wants to launch their career in the insurance industry to join our team. The Level I Insurance Agent is responsible for:
- Providing insurance advisory and sales services to agency clients
- Processing ICBC and private auto transactions and all related policies
- Writing new and renewing recreational vehicle policies
- Performing various administrative duties relating to both driver licensing and ICBC transactions
- Overseeing front desk reception
- Proactively referring clients within the Credit Union
Qualifications Required
About the Candidate
- Successful completion of CAIB I
- Completion of industry related courses to maintain a Level I license
- 1-2 years of insurance services experience, preferably in a Credit Union subsidiary environment
- Knowledge of insurance and motor vehicle licensing procedures, regulations, and documentation is preferred
- A professional and upbeat attitude
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to deal effectively with client and employee problems or complaints
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with others
- Dedication to providing and demonstrating exceptional customer service
Preference will be given to candidates who have achieved their CAIB I however, we will consider promising candidates who are new to the insurance industry as a Trainee. If the successful candidate has not completed their CAIB I designation at the time of hiring, they will be expected to write and complete their Level I exam within 3 months of their start date.
