COVID-19: Branch Opening Announcement

On Vancouver Island we have done an admirable job in flattening the curve of COVID-19. We have limited our cases to 131 total, with only 1 new confirmed case since the beginning of May. As the Province moves forward into Phase 3 of their Re-Start Plan, we wanted to update you on changes we are making to our current branch network.

Effective July 6, 2020 our Stz’uminus branch will be re-opening to its regular hours:

Monday ‐ Friday
9:30 ‐ 5:00

We continue to follow the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Canadian Public Health Association, (CPHA), regional, provincial and local authorities. As with our main branch, we are taking the following preventative steps in our Stz’uminus branch:

  • Hand sanitizers, wipes and tissues are provided and we ask that you use them
  • We will expect all members to maintain social distancing of 2 meters between each other
  • If you are coughing, symptomatic or feeling unwell, we ask that you not come into our premises. Please make use of our Contact Center, online or mobile banking services.
  • Use your own pen and then take it with you after you have concluded your transaction
  • If you have recently travelled we ask that you not come into the branch for 14 days after your return

We believe these actions will contribute to the continuing success we have seen on Vancouver Island towards flattening the curve. We remained focused on the well-being of our employees, members, clients and our communities and will continue to monitor the situation and health advice including information from the Public Health Agency of Canada and the BC Centre for Disease Control, among others.

These healthy practices, both ours and yours, will help to prevent the possible transmission of any viruses and keep our space clean and above all, healthy for our members, employees and community.

As always, LDCU has a long history of supporting our members and our community, and this 76 year commitment will continue throughout this crisis and beyond.

LDCU Strong!

Sincerely,

John de Leeuw, CEO
Ladysmith & District Credit Union
